Internationally, our largest metropolitan area, Toronto, is in the middle of the global pack in GDP per capita - it ranks 36th out of the largest 78 global metropolitan areas. Vancouver and Montréal rank 44th and 49th respectively. Together , the three cities’ prosperity falls just below the global average, but still ahead of the top 35 European cities.
