Canada’s prosperity gap has widened

In the early 1980s, GDP per capita in Canada was $2,700 behind that in the US. Since then, our growth has lagged US performance. In 2009, GDP per capita in Canada was $9,200 below that of the US. In 2010, the gap was virtually unchanged at $9,500.
