The Institute for Competitiveness & Prosperity to release its annual Report on Canada’s innovation imperative.
The report will be released by the Institute’s Chairman, Roger Martin, Dean of the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.
It will articulate Canada’s competitiveness challenges as innovation challenges and will discuss the importance of the need for governments, businesses, and individuals to invest in the capabilities and polices to address these challenges.
It will inform the debate and deliberation on Canada’s innovation policies as the new federal government takes shape.
The morning will kick off with Roger Martin presenting the report. We’ll then hear reactions and observations from some of the leading Canadian thinkers on issues of prosperity, innovation, and competitiveness:
- John Armstrong, Managing Partner, CAPCO.
- Betty DeVita, President, MasterCard Canada.
- Rupert Duchesne, President & CEO, Groupe Aeroplan Inc.
- P. Thomas Jenkins, Executive Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer, Open Text Corporation.
- Rory McAlpine, Vice President, Government & Industry Relations, Maple Leaf Foods Inc.
The event will be moderated by Don Newman, Chair of Canada 2020 and Senior Columnist at iPOLITICS.ca.
