Gordon J. Homer

Gordon J. Homer is President of Gordon J. Homer Advisory Services, an independent strategic and financial advisory firm, and was formerly Deputy Chairman of Scotia Capital, the corporate and investment banking division of Scotiabank. Previously, he was President of Gordon J. Homer Inc. for six years where he provided advisory services to the Ontario and Federal Governments as well as many major corporations. From 1971 to 1990, he was with Wood Gundy/CIBC Wood Gundy, acting as Vice Chairman from 1988 to 1990 and as Head of Worldwide Investment Banking from 1985 to 1988.

Mr. Homer has a B.Appl.Sc. (Industrial Engineering) from the University of Toronto and an MBA from Harvard University. He is Chair of the FIRST Robotics Canada competitions for pre-university students as well as a member of FIRST’s Worldwide Board and Steering Committee. He is also a Director of the Sunnybrook Health Services Centre Foundation and the Harvard Business School Canadian Fellowship Committee. Previously he was a Director of the Harvard Business School’s Worldwide Alumni Association and the University of Toronto Asset Management Corporation.
